Pearl Harbor: USS Arizona Monument

Shawna wanted to go to Hawaii for our honeymoon, but I convinced her we should go somewhere new to both of us by promising a later trip to Hawaii. We managed to make that happen for our fifth anniversary. I think this was my favorite stop while we were in Hawaii. I spent a semester in high school doing a research project and paper on World War II. Then in college, I watched as the university bookstore was remodeled and a memorial was installed for the USS Arizona. So, after making it that far, I had to take some time to spend at Pearl Harbor, specifically to see the USS Arizona Monument. Sadly, the monument was closed due to storm damage, so we could not go into the monument, but we did get to take a boat tour around it.
