I have been thinking a lot over the last few months of the directions life loves to take. I would have never imagined a few years ago that I would be where happen to be now. How did this happen? Why did this happen? These are all questions for philosophy and religion, which is why I like to think about them. So what are some of these surprises in my life?

I remeber when I was getting ready to move to New York everyone telling me how mean people would be. That finding a smile would be impossible. My favorite warning was to be ready to be mugged at least once a week Well I have found that sentament is wrong. Or is it?
2005-10-22 00:00:00 - Kill all the lawyers!
Maybe it is just me, but I have been seeing an increasing number of stupid and ridiculous lawsuits hitting the news. I think the first idiotic one I remember seeing was the person who spilled McDonalds coffee on their lap and sued because they were burned. Maybe it is just me, but I thought that the whole point of coffee was to be hot? Or another McDonalds one... a boy who ate there on a regular basis sued because he got fat. Well duh! What can be expected? For every action there is a reaction. The list goes on and on... The question becomes what do we do about these frivolous law suits and actions?
